This information sheet explains Appendix Tuberculosis (TB) of the Immigration Rules, which requires people coming from some countries to show that they do not have active Tuberculosis (TB) as part of their application to come to the UK.

TB is an infection disease. It is curable with treatment but it can be very serious. It is also easily transmitted from one person to another by coughing, sneezing and talking when it is an active form in the lungs or throat.
